Kitchen: October 2010

Before we could complete the kitchen the way we truly want to, we need to save up.  In the mean time I painted the cabinets, changed the hardware, installed under cabinet lighting and painted the appliances to give everything an updated look.  Plus, this was also a time to show my Hub-E how fabulous dark cabinets would look!

My Hub-E travels for work, so on a time span that he was gone for 2 weeks, I completely surprised him and transformed the kitchen!   I LOVE surprises!!! (as long as I’m not the one being surprised 🙂  I was at work when he came home to see the new kitchen and the text I received was….”Did I know you were doing this and forgot?” HA!

I’m going a little out of order, but sine we are going to have the baby any day now, I wanted to get the nursery up and posted.

This was once our office/extra guest room.  We have decided not to find out what we are having so I went with a Vintage Travel Theme with Red/Tan, which was technically the preexisting decor, but I added the essentials to make it a nursery.

This was one of our first interior upgrades to the house! We realized we needed to re-do one of the two bathrooms immediately (since the master shower leaked) the Hallway bath won by price default.

Everything needed updating in this bathroom. The vanity was out-dated, tiles were cracked, and the shower head hit my husband’s chest (which we needed to raise that by over 1.5’!)
